PETER MARUS

After a heroic 6 year battle with illness, Peter passed away peacefully a few days ago.  Peter was a titan in the Plant Machinery industry having started his career with Blaw Knox in the early 1960's and being appointed to the Board of Directors before his 30th Birthday, which was unheard of then.

Peter and his good friend Richard Mulcahy set up Soma Plant in the early 1970s and were hugely successful internationally until Richard's retirement due to ill health.  R Marus & Co Ltd was re-established in 2000 which Peter ran until the day of his passing.

We are hugely touched by the huge amount of tributes we have received and in his memory, the business will continue.  RIP Peter.
